We had a rockin’ time at the Hurricanes’ game and the tailgate. Wufpirate absolutely loved his new jersey that the tailgate was dedicated to. We can’t have a Canes’ fan with a burnt jersey, now can we? We cooked some great food, exchanged some great insults, and talked lots of hockey. The game against the Florida Panthers was a good one, afterwards. It wasn’t the highest scoring game, but I think the Canes worked hard, nonetheless.

…to my friend C-Leaguer (Brian). He lost his mother suddenly on Saturday. We’ve dealt with men losing their mothers at an early age a couple times in our family (my sister and I don’t have mother-in-laws). I wish I had some great words of advice, but there just aren’t any. It will get harder before it gets easier, but it will get easier. It will never go away.

We’ll see you in a week and a half, guys. Funny how we’ve gotten so close over a hockey team, huh? Here’s to Wuffie and recovering from his charred life. We shall char some meat in his honor and attend a Panther’s beat down. Go Canes!
