I finally got the pictures from the fourth and our vacation uploaded. I thought I’d post a few pictures from Hot Springs, AR for posterity.
My Dad has fished his entire life, and thus, so have I. We don’t get the chance to go fishing around here, so it was a real treat for the boys to go fish with my Dad. This is our first evening in Hot Springs.
No Anthony family gathering is complete without a fish fry. For our second day in Hot Springs we had the whole gang over to my cousin’s guest house (that we took over for the week). Everybody brought pot luck and my Dad expertly fried up tons of fish that he’d caught. Just to keep my memory fresh in attendance were my Dad, step-mother, my grandmother and grandfather, my step-grandmother, her companion and foster child, a step-great aunt, my sister and her husband, three first cousins, my second cousin (who owns the house) and his wife, my step-uncle and his two daughters…..
I think that’s all of them. My Dad had a hell of time trying to keep Emmett’s face clean.
My family recently donated money to build a chapel and carillon at local botanical gardens. Here’s the plaque. Garland and Flora were my great-grandparents.
Here’s the inside of the carillon.
And here’s Anthony Chapel.
The outside shots of the carillon and the chapel are quite impressive, but they don’t translate well sideways, which seems to be the only way I can get them to upload.
This is my grandfather and the boys to hold everybody over until I figure out how to rotate the pictures permanently and until I remember to download the other flash card.
