Here’s another Halloween preview. I’ve been granted access to the kick-ass camera for pictures tonight, so there will be lots more coming.

1. Look past the price and shop at the most kid friendly grocery store. I’ll get a little less to have an hour of peace with free sugar cookies and a cart that looks like a rocket ship.
2. Refilling prescriptions online is so easy you can do it while Ollie has fit next to your chair.
3. I don’t think its true that they grow up too fast. They just get too big.
4. Save dinners of fast food for the days when you REALLY can’t take anymore.
5. Small children will sleep well only on the nights that you can’t.
6. You WILL become “that” parent you always swore you wouldn’t at some point in raising your kids.
7. Who knew that mini-vans really were that necessary? Oooops.

Much thanks to my father-in-law who has granted me brief respite from the insanity that is my two boys. I get to sit with wireless access and damn fine cup of coffee at the Washington Cafe and Coffee Company. I’ve never been so happy to have so little to do.

We’re finally getting some much needed rain and so to pass the time, I made cinnamon raisin bread yesterday. Best bread I’ve ever made, hands down. It pays to try new recipes. Andy and the boys finished a whole loaf and have already started on the second one. I guess I’d better get some yeast working so I can make some more later today. Now, if I can just figure out what to do with my insane children for the rest of today. I think the rain has turbo charged them.
